Diane Arbus is known for photos that make normal people look abnormal, as well as for directly photographing abnormal people. I find her disturbing and fascinating. Here's her photo of "The Jewish Giant" with his parents. I just don't know what to say about Arbus as a secular Jew, but as far as I know, that's exactly who she was.
